What's New: Current Exhibits and Other Happenings![]() | EAFA 2012 Members-Only Show The 2012 Eastside Association of Fine Arts annual exhibit includes two of Louise's large shell paintings, "Vanity" and "Pirouette". The exhibit is installed in the EAFA Gallery located at the Seattle Design Center, Plaza Building, 5701 Sixth Ave S. Suite P292, Seattle, WA 98108, and will be on view April 24 through June 22. The Design Center is open to the public Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and has ample free parking. | "Shadows and Reflections" Exhibit Louise's painting "Rose Sky Lagoon" was chosen by curator June Sekiguchi to be a part of the exhibit titled "Shadows and Reflections: Intangible and ephemeral aspects of light on the physical world". The show will be installed at University House Wallingford, with a Gala Opening Reception to be held on Thursday, February 16, from 5:30 to 7:30 P.M. The exhibit will be on view until June 18, 2012. Coming Up: August 2012 Fountainhead Gallery Exhibit The Fountainhead Gallery will be featuring Louise's new series of paintings, "Lowcountry" during the month of August. This group of landscapes is inspired by her family's roots in the South Carolina coastal lowcountry. Based on memory as much as reference material, they evoke the open vistas of marshes, tidal creeks and sandy beaches as well as the dense jungley vegetation of the forests.
